You've bravely veered off the beaten path of traditional wedding rings and chosen unique mens wedding bands, possibly even opted out for your not so average Meteorite Rings. Step one, complete! Now, the trick is to keep them as good looking as you did the day you first locked eyes on your lover. Who doesn’t like new and shiny things? Whether it's Wood, Meteorite, Titanium, Whiskey Barrel, or Dinosaur Bone every wedding band deserves the TLC that you also give your marriage am I right? With Thorum's bands being crafted from precious and durable materials, they also have to take on the daily wear and tear. Keeping your wedding rings in their original condition may seem like a daunting task, but it's actually quite simple with a few tips and tricks.
Ditch the Dirt Before It Becomes a Permanent Resident
Your wedding band is a no-vacancy zone for dirt, and it's time to play the strict landlord. Anything from your daily latte foam to your favorite barbeque sauce can cause your ring to lose its spark. The best defense here is a good offense: Remember to remove that ring like its a bad habit when you're about to get your hands dirty. This means sending your ring to the bench during cooking escapades, spring cleaning marathons, or any other grimy activities. Once you've mastered that, it's time for some proactive TLC. A relaxing spa treatment of warm, soapy water for your ring works wonders in getting rid of stubborn dirt and grime. A gentle scrub with some warm water and soap and you'll have your ring grinning ear to ear.
Keeping it Scratch-Free – Yes, it's Possible!
Despite their sturdy construction using materials such as Tungsten, Titanium or Damascus wedding rings are not invincible to everyday wear and tear. Our mission is to keep that ring looking new, scratch-free, and as captivating as the day you said, "I do." Consider treating it like a VIP and store your ring somewhere soft and safe! When your hand is called upon for rough activities - from pumping iron to home improvements - remember to bench your ring and sub in your silicone band. This way, you avoid a face-off with surfaces and tasks that may leave behind war scars. Stay mindful, treat your ring with a gentle touch, and you'll have a shining symbol of your commitment, without a scratch in sight!
Routine Maintenance to Keep Your Rings Shining
The same way you wouldn't run your beloved classical car for years without a tune-up, don't neglect your wedding band. Make a habit of cleaning and or waxing your ring monthly! Not only will this make your ring glisten like the chrome details on that Corvette in the driveway but it also serves as an early detection system for any potential issues. This is especially vital if your mens wedding bands house any wood detailing. Wax on, wax off, capeesh? Remember, it's always better to be proactive than reactive, so keep up with those routine check-ups.
Protecting Your Rings from Harsh Chemicals
Picture this: you're about to give your prized ring a home spa experience. You've got the ambiance set, candlelight flickering, and record spinning. But wait, what's that you're reaching for? Not that harsh chemical cleaner! For your ring's sake, just don’t! See, while your ring may be tougher than your average Joe, it's still got a sensitive side. Harsh cleaners are a big NOPE. Instead, opt for the gentle touch of mild dish soap. Got a Wooden Interior Ring on your finger? Don’t forget to finish it with a good blow dry and some wax to top it off!
Make it personal
You see, maintaining your ring doesn’t have to be a mundane task. Who said ring care couldn't be poetic? For the modern groom sporting a Thorum one-of-a-kind mens wedding band, let the maintenance of your unique piece be a moment of appreciation. Let the Meteorite Ring on your finger not only remind you of your vows, but also of your commitment to keeping it in stellar condition. So, pour a glass of your favorite scotch, put on a classic tune, and get to pampering your ring. This isn't just about ring care, it's about self-care too. Your ring's spa day can double as your chill day.
The entire Thorum team has followed Peter on his travels so from early on, we knew we wanted to partner with him to help share the Thorum brand. They say timing is everything, so we thought our most recent Thorum Watch launch would be the perfect opportunity to strike up a relationship with Peter and his team.
In short, Peter follows the lives of uncommon, misunderstood people, and not-so-widely known cultures and shows the raw reality of what it’s like to live a day in their shoes. Thorum owner and CEO, Caleb, can relate to his subjects specifically, having spent some of his younger years traveling abroad in unfamiliar midwestern territories as somewhat of a musical nomad before he started a family and began what is now known as Thorum.
When the opportunity presented itself to partner with Peter and to be featured on his channel, we knew we had to do it. If you’re looking for some new content to watch that’s riveting, educational, and entertaining, join us in following Peter Santenello on his travels and subscribe to his channel.

Over the last decade and change, here at Thorum we have exclusively specialized in men’s and women’s unique wedding, engagement, and special occasion rings. This past week, we thought we’d shake things up and drop a brand new product line we’ve secretly been working on for a couple of years: Thorum Watches.
We took our time researching and testing to ensure our watch was superior to many of the watches that are out there on the market. Their minimalist design features a genuine leather band, a 316L stainless steel watchface, EU Mechanical movement (which means no batteries…ever!), waterproof up to 10 ATM, and each watch is backed by the Thorum Lifetime Warranty.
The Aloha Watch
The Aloha Watch is one of our fan-favorites, The Aloha ring’s matching counterpart. Both pieces feature our signature authentic Hawaiian Koa wood inlay, nestled in a matte black 316L Stainless Steel watch face.
The Meteorite Watch
The Meteorite Watch was THE design we just had to - one of our claims to fame is our Black Meteorite Ring, and newly launched Meteorite Collection of rings, so of course we had to come out with a matching meteorite watch.
Featuring the same rare, cosmic Gibeon Meteorite in our watches, The Meteorite Watch is the perfect modern timepiece sure to strike up conversation.
The Redwood Watch
Last but not least, we’ve added The Redwood Watch to our lineup. California Redwood has unique yet distinct markings and striations and grain patterns that made this wood a no-brainer to create our final watch with.
The Redwood Watch perfectly pairs with any of our four redwood designs including The Rancher, The Black Redwood, The Sequoia, and of course The Redwood.

We couldn’t have accomplished this awesome achievement without our loyal brand followers and our amazing customers, so thank you to all of you who believed in us, purchased our rings, and spread the good word about our wedding brand.

Your finger will naturally swell and contract, depending on your body temperature or the season. This means, you might be a size 8 in the summer but your ring might be a little more loose in the winter. Our fingers tend to swell in warmer temperatures and they’ll contract in cooler temps so just keep that in mind when figuring out your ring size. Don't worry, it's usually only about a half a size (or less), but you will be able to notice it.
Ladies, during that time of the month you may also experience some natural swelling and bloating so don’t be surprised if your ring may feel a bit more snug. Sodium intake will also affect your fit.
Basically what we’re saying is there is no “perfect” fit ring, since your size will fluctuate, give or take a half size or so. Just keep that in mind when sizing yourself for your ring.
We provide a free silicone ring with every purchase for a reason. Don’t be afraid to use it. Our silicone rings are made from medical-grade silicone which basically just means they’re durable AF.
If you love the idea of having a fine piece of jewelry as your wedding ring, but have a hands on job or you’re just very active we recommend swapping out your actual ring for the silicone band. This will help keep your “good” ring in pristine condition and lessen the chance of you losing your other ring.
P.S. Use the drawstring bag we send you to store your silicone ring in, otherwise it’ll grab pesky dust particles.
Expect to have to polish your rings a handful of times during its lifetime. Just like any other piece of jewelry, your ring should be properly cleaned and polished to keep it looking like new. Take a peek at our care guide for some tips on how to keep your wedding ring shiny, and be sure to pick up our Thorum Care Kit.
If you have questions about your specific design or materials and how best to care for your ring, shoot our customer service team an email and include the name of your ring. They’re extremely knowledgeable about all of our rings.
]]>We exclusively use grade-five titanium 6al-4v, which basically means it’s stronger than steel, at less than half the weight. It will never rust or corrode. Its natural oxide coating gives it a smokey gray aesthetic.
Why choose me?
I’m unbelievably light (closer in weight to aluminum than to steel), and very comfortable. Wear me if you want to feel as if you have nothing on at all. You’ll never have to worry about care and maintenance - it’s impossible to make me rust.
We only use CW2 Tungsten Carbide. It’s entirely hypoallergenic, heavier than steel (similar to gold in weight), and stronger than any other alloy available. TC will shatter under tension, making it much, much safer for degloving disasters.
Why choose me?
I’m heavy. I’m robust. I’m the paragon of modern metalworking. I will never rust or corrode, and I will always look exactly like the day you met me. Pick me if you're looking for a hypoallergenic wedding ring.
Damascus steel is formed by forge welding multiple different alloys of steel. It’s hammered, shaped, and welded until it reveals its beautiful pattern. Be aware that carbon damascus can rust, and requires special care and maintenance.
Why choose me?
Choose me if you want intrigue, and interest on your hand forever. I’m a crowd pleaser, and a conversation starter. I look like something out of this world.
Ceramic is carved from bars of blown carbon. They are colored throughout the entire material. Ceramic is the most heat resistant material we’ve ever used in a ring.
Why choose me?
I’m an underdog in the ring industry. The thing is, I will never fade, and never scuff. I’m so hard that machinists use me to cut Titanium. I come in brilliant gunmetal blacks, and bright white varieties.
We use forged, chipped carbon fiber, as well as tow wrapped varieties. Carbon fiber has a strength to weight ratio that is simply unmatched.
Why choose me?
I’m lightweight, and aerodynamic. Swift, and tactical. Carbon fiber is utilized by engineers spanning from F1 to Space X for its unique properties. Also. I’m the only ring around here that floats in water.
Why choose me?
Pick me if you want something out of this world. I was formed near the birth of our solar system - around 4.5 billion years ago. I took my time in space, and finally fell to Earth sometime in the last 30,000 years.
I have an entirely unique aesthetic, molding my nickel and iron into striations of intrigue.
Why choose me?
Long touted as the hardest timber known to mankind, and to be frank I’m as strong as a brick shit house. Sailors from antiquity used me as ball bearings, and for pulley systems, considering my mammoth durability.
Yes. I do. You don’t even have to ask; I sink in water.
Why choose me?
Why the hell not? Do you like whiskey? I’m cut from old grown Jack Daniel’s barrels. I’ve got a distinguished coffee flavored appearance.
Why choose me?
Every grown ass man and woman has a child inside secretly wishing that they could visit Jurassic Park. We exclusively use the tyrant king’s bones - Tyrannosaurus Rex. Every Dinosaur Bone ring comes included with a certificate of authenticity so you know you're getting the real deal.

There’s a reason diamond simulants like cubic zirconia and moissanite are called “ethical diamonds.” CZ and other diamond alternatives are lab-grown or man made, which means a lot of the unethical practices behind mined diamonds are completely eliminated.
Just like any jewelry, typically you’re choosing it because of how it looks, right? If you love the look of diamonds, you aren’t sacrificing a ton if you select a diamond simulant. Most alternatives have more clarity than real diamonds, and are nearly as hard on the Mohns scale of hardness.
With ethical diamonds, you’re certainly able to get more bang for your buck when it comes to estimated carat size. Since they are more abundant than natural diamonds, you’re going to be able to get a bigger rock for way less dollar signs.
If we haven’t totally convinced you yet, check out our selection of ethical diamond engagement and stacking wedding rings. They were designed by our Co-Owner and VP, Steph and we’re proud to say they are a sustainable diamond simulant option for our brides to be.
Our Co-Owner and VP, Steph, put together a great tutorial for you to follow step-by-step instructions on how to use the Thorum paper ring sizer. Watch below!
If you're following along, please print out our free paper ring sizer. Be sure to print it at 100% to scale.
If you’re from outside of the US, there are a couple easy solutions for you to convert your international ring size to a US ring size. The first (most efficient) way to find your US ring size is to snag one of our jeweler-grade Thorum Ring Sizers.
Another way, if you’re in a hurry, is to print out our instant paper Thorum Ring Sizer.
Both of these methods will give you an instant read on what your US ring size would be and you’re all set to place your Thorum ring order. All of our rings are sized in US numbers.
We’ve pulled this great resource from Wikipedia to refer to for international ring size conversions. It includes a chart for international countries to help you find the best fit. Please keep in mind Thorum rings come in US sizes 4-16 and are only available in full or half sizes. Click here to see the full chart.

]]>So, you’re thinking about popping the big question! Congratulations, it’s a big step and your head is probably spinning with questions. Will they say yes? What kind of ring should I propose with? Where should I propose? What will I say? While we don’t have the answers to all of these questions, we do have the answers to one. We’ll answer all of your questions on how to pick an engagement ring so keep reading.
This is a great question. One of the best ways to measure your partner's ring size is to take a piece of their existing rings and measure that way. You can download our free paper ring sizer to help you measure this, or you can order our jeweler-grade ring sizer for a more accurate measurement.
If your s.o. doesn’t have any rings to measure with or if you’re still not sure, you can always use the guessing method. You can always guesstimate their ring size with either the paper sizer or the plastic sizer to the best of your ability. If after the proposal you find out the ring doesn’t fit, we offer hassle-free exchanges for a $25 restocking fee.
As you probably already know, engagement rings come in various widths depending on what you’re looking for. So how do you know what width ring you should pick for your fiance to be?
Start by considering their hand and finger size. If you think a more narrow band would compliment them, go with either a 1.5mm width ring like The Medusa, or a 4mm band like the Black Meteorite. If you think they’ll prefer a wider band, go with a 6mm band or an 8mm band.
You can also refer to this blog for more details on how to determine what width ring you should purchase.
Think back to any past conversations about whether or not your significant other has ever dropped any hints about what type of jewelry they like. Do they like gold, or is that a metal they tend to stay away from? Is silver more their jam? Whatever their preference, try to tailor your pick around their taste!
Our owner and head ring designer, Caleb, has poured his soul into thinking of creative designs and ways to integrate hobbies and interests into Thorum rings. From skateboarding to guitar, to history and war, we have a ring that can pretty much suit anyone. If your honey is passionate about something, chances are we have a ring to represent it.
Pick a ring that they’ll cherish and love forever. Not only does your wedding ring represent your love, but it should also represent a piece of the person wearing it.
Wooden wedding rings are durable, lightweight, and are always a conversation starter. Thorum has a variety of different woods to choose from, like prehistoric oak, American walnut, Jack Daniel’s whiskey barrel, California redwood, and a bunch more. We’ve integrated these into different designs ranging from bold mostly-wood designs, to more subtle wooden inlays with mixed materials.
So many brides are opting for rose gold engagement rings, so it seems fitting that our grooms are following suit with wedding rings accented with rose gold. The Legend is a perfect example of modern meets traditional, layering super durable tungsten carbide and polished anodized titanium.
For a more masculine, more subtle hint of rose gold, The Direwolf is the perfect handsome design for the fella wanting to match his stylish bride while keeping his masculine sense of style.
Not every ring shop or jeweler is going to have rings made from super rare materials like certified dinosaur bone, or Gibeon meteorite, but at Thorum rings we have you covered.
We use authentic rare materials in every ring to create a conversation piece that you can be proud to wear and show off. Each dinosaur bone ring also comes with a signed certificate of authenticity, you know, just in case anyone asks.
We know there are plenty of history buffs out there, or people that just genuinely enjoy unique items with a historical background. We have designed a selection of Thorum rings with a historical element, like the popular WW2 Ring, that features authentic timber from an M1 garand that once saw active duty.
Each ring has it’s own unique story, just like you do. We hope you can find something that speaks to you, your lifestyle, or any of your hobbies. Our customer service team is always available to answer your questions so feel free to reach out and they’d be happy to find the perfect ring for you.

We’re a proud partner of Critical Role and now you know all the reasons why we continue to be! Find them on Instagram for more Dungeons and Dragons awesomeness.
The simplest, most foolproof way to find your perfect ring size is to use the Thorum Ring Sizer, available on our site for just $10. Our ring sizer comes with standard US ring sizes 4-16, including half sizes. As an added bonus, we’ll hook you up with 20% off your ring purchase.
To measure your finger, simply use trial and error with the rings that look like they’ll fit. Once you find a close fit, feel free to take it off the clasp and wear it around for a bit. Make a fist, shake your hands, and try it out to do a few household chores.
If you find that you forgot the ring is on your hand, voila! It sounds like a perfect fit. If you keep adjusting it back onto your hand because it’s too loose, or even finding that it’s uncomfortably tight, try a different size.
We designed this simple and free printable paper ring sizer for you impatient folks (like us) or last minute folks (also like us) who may not have time to wait a few days for the reusable plastic ring sizer to arrive in the mail. Simply download and print this sizer from your browser and start measuring. Be sure to print the page at 100% otherwise the sizer will measure inaccurately.
Download the Free Thorum Ring Sizer Here!
While the plastic sizer was designed from the blueprints of our paper ring sizer, we want to make mention that the paper sizer may not be as accurate of a fit as the plastic sizer. The disadvantages of the paper sizer includes not being able to wear it around, or flex your fingers while you have it on.
The rounded interior of our bands is designed for extreme comfort. It's ergonomically superior to pipe fit bands, allowing for finger expansion and contraction.
If you’re used to wearing traditional rings with a flat interior, you may notice with your Thorum ring there is some extra wiggle room.
We recommend sticking to your normal size if your rings normally fit “like a glove” or are even slightly tight. If you’re used to being able to spin a ring comfortably around your finger or it feels lose, we recommend sizing a half size down with Thorum rings.
Take a peek at our quick how-to video answering some simple questions on how to check your ring size at home.
Don’t fret, you’re more than welcome to reach out to our helpful customer service reps who are always able to help you determine your perfect size before you purchase. Once you receive your ring and you find that the ring doesn’t fit quite right and you’d like to swap it out for a different size, we do offer ring exchanges for a small restocking fee of $25.

While we pride ourselves on sourcing the finest materials that are unique and beautiful in every way, we understand that with uncommon materials comes questions about how to care for your wedding ring to ensure the longevity of it. We’re giving you a few ways to care for your wedding band after you’ve tied the knot.
Remove When Showering or Swimming
Each Thorum wedding ring is durable, which is why we always provide a one-year warranty on every ring you purchase from us, however there are ways that you can ensure the life of your ring will last and removing when showering or swimming is certainly one of them.
The different chemicals in soaps and shampoos can be harmful to your precious jewelry over time, so why risk it? Simply remove your ring before your hop in for a steamy shower to protect it from repeated exposure to unknown chemicals.
Same with the pool. Use swim time as a good opportunity to slip on your Thorum silicone band instead of your actual wedding ring. Damage from harsh pool chemicals and even the risk of losing your ring are significantly decreased if you just store your ring somewhere safe during your family vaca swim sesh.
Remove When Working Out
Gotta get in a good pump? Do yourself a favor and leave your wedding ring at home, or keep a Thorum Silicone band in your gym bag. Your hands may get ultra-sweaty after a good cardio sesh, or if you’re using chalk you don’t want it getting all over your beautiful Thorum ring. And too, lifting weights with metal bars or dumbbells rubbing against your ring will prevent unnecessary wear and tear or potential scratches.
Throw on your silicone band and you won’t have to worry about any gym elements scratching or causing damage to your ring.
Clean Your Ring Frequently
To keep your ring looking out-of-the-box new, use the Thorum Ring Care Kit at least a couple times a year. No need to take it to a professional jewelry store to get beautiful results, you can clean your ring right at home.
Our care kit comes with natural beeswax and an extra soft microfiber cloth to help maintain the natural beauty of your ring for years to come. The beeswax helps to maintain your rings everyday shine and help block out excess moisture.

Pick A Material.
A good starting point when picking out the perfect wedding ring is deciding first on what material or materials you want your ring to be made out of. From there, you can narrow down what other “features” or details you want in a ring.
Thorum has a TON of awesome, unique materials to choose from. For example, where else are you going to find a Dinosaur Bone wedding band?
Picking what material you want your wedding ring to be made from will weed out a lot of other options, making the selection process a bit less daunting.
Browse Your Options.
If you’re anything like us, you get sensory overload when it comes to online shopping. Luckily, we’ve designed our site with you in mind and we’ve got a built-in filtration system so you can search our site by material. You can also just type in your search query in the on-site search bar.
Once you’ve decided on what material you want for your ring, feel free to browse by category. Heck, browse other sites across the internet if you must! With the premium selection of quality rings we offer, we know you’ll be back.
Consult Your Significant Other.
Use the task of shopping for a wedding ring as a good opportunity to practice your marital skills - talk it out with your significant other! Pick out a few favorites and present them to your wifey or hubby to be.
This will ensure three things.
Pull the Trigger.
What are you waiting for? Buy the dang thing before you change your mind. Thorum rings come in standard whole and half sizes ranging in sizes 6US-16US.
If you’re not sure of your exact ring size, save yourself the hassle of an exchange later. Order our ring sizer for only ten bucks and in exchange, we’ll give you 20% off your ring order. That sounds like a pretty sweet deal if you ask us.

]]>So you are in the market for a ring, but you don’t know what size to look for? Buying online can be difficult when sizes are different depending on the store you shop at. Moreover, there are soo many different types of ring fits it can all get so confusing! Not to worry as we will help make the sizing and fittings easy to understand.
Comfort-fitted rings have a domed interior, giving them a rounded curve around the finger. Often rings made in this style are thicker and made of stronger metals than a standard ring including Titanium or Tungsten Carbide. Another feature of this ring fit is the fact it is specifically designed to increase the blood flow of the digits during exercise and everyday activities.
Standard fitted rings are flat around the interior of the ring and are often considered the more traditional type of ring fitting, made typically from softer materials including gold or silver.
Although you might choose one or the other based on personal preference, the comfort fit is undoubtedly better in most cases. This is because not only is it sturdy, it is better for the overall health of your fingers in the long run! It is designed for comfort and to ensure the constant flow of blood regardless of what you are doing.
A downside to the comfort fit is that in order to create the rounded edge it needs more metal than a standard fit, but it ensures the durability and the slide on and off with ease. No matter your way of life this type of fit suits all occasions and will ensure you have a comfortable fit!
At Thorum most of our rings are made to be comfortable, and sturdy, not just to look good! If the comfort fit is right for you then you should check out our ring collection to suit all types of people!

My recommendation is that you choose two sizes that you feel is gonna be a good fit for your partner.
Also if you want to buy a ring for yourself another recommendation is to choose sizes that you feel comfortable with and wear for 15 to 30 minutes doing your daily tasks.
If you feel this is the right size, congratulations, you can order your ring.
As for your partner, there are several tips you can apply when choosing a ring size. One of the best ways you can get this info is to ask their friends and family. They might give you the solution and you solve the mystery.
Even if they don’t know the correct answer, they might ask in a very discrete way to your partner.
Or even another good idea is to take your partner shopping so they can know the correct size and you can order the ring.
Another way this can work is to borrow one of your partner’s rings. But you have to be careful about this one, the trick is that he/she doesn't notice the ring is missing, so try to choose one that cannot be noticed right away.
Remember to take it to borrow for max a day. So this doesn’t seem suspicious and then the surprise will be blown away.
So, this can be the last resource, but it might work. If you know someone that has pretty similar fingers to your partner then you can do a comparison and ask that person his/her ring size.
But again, this is one of the less accurate strategies you can follow.
But hey don’t panic, below are some valuable facts to guess the right size for your partner.
The average ring size for men is between 8 and 11 US. Men’s ring sizes usually range from 8 to 14, with size 9 being the most common.
The average ring size for women is between 5 and 8 US. Women’s ring sizes typically range from 3 to 9, with size 6 being the most common.
Hope these tips can help you choose the best ring for your partner.
And remember, even if your order doesn’t match your partner's finger, you can send it to resize.
]]>Quite a few people believe that silicone “rubber” rings are the only option for an electrical contractor. This isn't the case!
Every wedding band at Thorum is sent out with a silicone activity ring just in case.
At Thorum we have numerous different ring combinations that you can use in a field where conductivity and safety is an everyday concern.
We use the highest grade materials that are crafted from years of experience and knowledge from real life customer feedback.
We offer bands that could withstand mighty abuse, even from Thor’s Mjölnir.
Yes, it’s the perfect time to find a ring that is just as special and unique as you are (or close - we try haha) that has your safety in mind. We offer rings that can be used for a multitude of different environments where conductivity may be a concern.
Wedding season is just around the corner, which means your big day and anniversary is creeping up on you fast: don’t kid yourself it’s coming faster than you realize!
Don’t end up scrambling at the last minute for just any ring. Thorum has got you covered with interest free installment options, and quick as lightning shipping (we ship all rings within 1 business day!).
Let’s get to the nitty gritty, the entire reason you got this far! What materials can we use?!
Let’s hop into a time machine, well before rubber and electricity was officially discovered/invented/ then rediscovered. Yes, thousands upon thousands of years ago that had a solution to a problem that didn’t exist.
Yep, you guessed it, ceramic is one of the oldest materials used by modern humans.
Ceramic rings are a great choice for a wedding band. It is astonishingly overlooked when it comes to non-conductive wedding bands.
Also, as we mentioned before, every single band we ship comes with a free silicone activity band that is meant for field work and getting your hands dirty.
Here's our most popular ceramic band:
Featuring entirely all non-conductive components:
Antler, Whiskey Barrel and Ceramic!
All of our designs have recessed inlay that is encased in epoxy resin. A material that is entirely non-conductive. Epoxy Resin is truly an amazing material that has a plastic like properties that is just as safe as a rubber barrier.
My personal favorite is:
This band is worn by our friend Skallgrim and his wife. He's been a long time friend of our store.
If you're into medieval history, you need to check out Skallgrim's youtube channel.

Our wedding bands were featured in this week's episode of Critical Role! Sam absolutely killed it with the ad read mentioning our meteorite wedding bands, and dinosaur bone rings.
Steph and I have been playing DND since 2017 with a fellowship of our friends. We're massive fans of Critical Role!
Our shipping manager Chris is also a DM who is currently involved in an intriguing monster campaign.
Critical Role is the largest Dungeons and Dragons production on the planet. All of their episodes are available on Twitch and Youtube.
Their newest campaign is the best yet. They've destroyed a lot of furniture so far (if you know, you know).
Nat 20 on the first take!
Not really haha. But Steph did spend an hour getting it right.
Featured in the gif is The Forte, a wedding band forged from Damascus Steel and reclaimed Whiskey Barrel.
What class will you choose?
Will you be ostentatious, loud, and the center of attention (cough bard)?
Or will you be a rough and tough Barbarian with berserker RAGE?
We're personally looking forward to Critical Role's journey, as well as our continued partnership together.
Look for Thorum's wedding bands again soon in a future episode of Critical Role.
As always, if you ever have any questions, we'd love to hear from you: contact@thorum.com

]]>It's been a long journey to get to where we are today, and I wanted to take some time to share some of the high points in this post.
We've made dinosaur bone rings, whiskey barrel rings, rings out of WW2 guns, meteorite rings, antler rings, damascus steel rings, wood wedding rings, titanium rings and tungsten carbide rings.
At this point the list could go on forever!
It all started with some reclaimed pallet wood in 2012...
]]>2012
With my wife's help, I started making rings out of pallet wood in 2012 (she bought me a $15 belt sander, love you babe!).
With a stroke of luck, peppered with hours upon hours in the workshop, and months of SEO research - our business took off.
2013
I made wood wedding rings out of pallet wood, and then moved into exotic wood veneer rings that were steambent.
At this point we started making antler rings, guitar string rings, meteorite rings, and whiskey barrel rings.
We kept working exclusively on wood wedding bands with inlays for nearly 3 years!
2015
I bought my first metal lathe (a Grizzly 7x14).
We'd been making guitar string wood wedding bands for years by this point, and I wanted a metal one.
There were none available a this time, so after nearly 6 months of tinkering, and the help of online forums (r/metalworking) I was able to produce a brushed Titanium guitar string wedding ring.
2016-2018
We got a CNC lathe for Christmas 2016!
It took me a few months figure it out, and I still only have a very primal understanding of it.
During this time we made wood rings, titanium rings, damascus rings, meteorite rings, dinosaur bone rings, turquoise rings, etc. (did I mention the SEO thing earlier?).
Late 2018
We decided to start making tungsten carbide rings.
After much trial and tribulations we ended up having Tungsten Carbide rings caste in industrial molds.
At this point we make both men's wedding rings, and women's wedding rings out of everything from meteorite to whiskey barrel, and in between.
Fun facts:
-I developed the "hammering" technique for the Ironwood ring on my dad's grinder as a kid (it's been our all time bestseller!)
-My oldest daughter Grace used to sit in the workshop for hours hitting a drum full of sawdust and just laughing. I miss that already.
Today:
Our small business now has 5 employees, and we're growing!
Jessica expertly handles all of the emails/social media responses. She was my first employee, and is nothing short of spectacular. I'm continually amazed by her work ethic and the insurmountable amount of care she has for each and every customer.
Chris is the shipping man! He gets your ring to you faster than you ever expected, and polishes them up to boot. Chris joined us in 2020, and has already become invaluable to us.
My wife Stephanie now takes all of the photos (and my lord do they look better than ones taken on my truck bed). I think you can agree the quality of photography has gone way up.
We also work with a team of experts for crafting ads and branding.
We wouldn't be able to do what we love with you, our customer. Without you we'd be nothing. It'd be impossible to convey my gratitude.
Thank you.
Caleb

For all wood, antler, meteorite, dinosaur bone, damascus steel, or stone rings, we suggest gently cleaning and waxing your ring twice a month.
Our favorite thing to use is of course, the Thorum Rings Care Kit that’s available on the site. For just 30 bucks, you get everything you’ll need to care for your ring - Each kit includes a 4oz tin of high-quality beeswax and a microfiber towel. As a bonus, we also include an extra discount for you to use or share on a future purchase.
We also suggest trying to avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or any solvents. We know hand sanitizer is particularly important right now, so if you find yourself using it frequently just slip your ring off before using and pop it back on once your hands have dried.
For rings made exclusively from metal such as tungsten carbide rings, we suggest gently washing your ring with dish soap and warm water. This will help to wipe away a lot of the daily buildup and sweat that will accrue on your ring.
Our Tungsten Carbide is PVD IP plated, and the exterior finish will never fade. Simply washing it will bring your ring back to look exactly like the day you bought it.
Titanium bands can scuff into a matte gray over time. Wiping them down with scotch brite and WD-40 will entirely restore their finish, and always be sure to use a clean microfiber cloth.
If you’re truly concerned about keeping your ring in pristine condition, or if you have a very hands-on job that may put your ring at risk for scratches or damage, opt for your silicone band instead.
Our silicone wedding bands are made from medical grade silicone so they’re more durable than you think. They’re 100% waterproof, tested for quality, and easy to wipe clean.
If you have any further questions on the care and maintenance of your specific ring, feel free to shoot our helpful customer service team an email. They are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to our inventory and all of the different materials. To purchase the Thorum Rings Care Kit, click here!

Here's a breakdown of our most common ring components, and how we use them:
Damascus Steel
We source forge welded Damascus steel rods from both the US, and abroad.
The current varieties we offer are high carbon, and stainless.
Damascus steel is turned and profiled on a lathe, and then acid etched with Ferric Chloride to produce the awesome and unique grain patterns.
Titanium
We only use the best grade of Titanium available for rings (grade 5 6AL-4v).
We currently source over 75% of them in the USA from Mcmaster Carr. Some components are sourced abroad, and assembled in shop.
Titanium is shaped and profiled on a slantbed CNC lathe, and the comfort fit is finished on a manual gunsmithing lathe.
Meteorite
We currently make Gibeon meteorite rings. While we have nearly every kind imaginable, Gibeon offers extra rust resistance, and has a beautiful grain pattern.
Our meteorite is sourced both domestically in Moab, Utah, and abroad.
We get help from specialists in cobalt chrome platings for special finishes.
Tungsten Carbide
We exclusively use CW2 Jeweler's Grade Tungsten Carbide in every ring.
Tungsten Carbide is sintered abroad, and PVD IP plated.
We receive components, and polish them in shop.
All Tungsten Carbide designs with separate components are affixed with Titanium epoxy and assembled in shop.
Whiskey Barrel
Our whiskey barrel is sourced all over the place. We offer a variety of different timbers from different brands in designs.
We stabilize the oak in a vacuum with acrylic resin, and seal every piece with marine grade epoxy.
Desert Ironwood
We make Ironwood rings from both Desert Ironwood and Lignum Vitae.
It's some of the hardest timber on earth. It even sinks in water!
California Redwood
As always, our California Redwood is sourced in an ecofriendly manner.
It was sourced from a downed tree in a fire some years ago (we have a lot of it!).
Dinosaur Bone
If you made it this far, you are witnessing new information! Thanks for sticking with me!
Standard dinosaur bone is sourced in Moab, Utah.
Our T-Rex bone is dated in the Hell Creek Formation (Cretaceous period), and came from present day Montana.
We set the stone inlay in shop, and seal it with marine grade epoxy to insure it's entirely waterproof.
As always! If you have any questions, please reach out to us. We'd love to hear from you.
